Modular A4 Binder – Designed for the Prusa MINI

Description

This is a fully modular A4 binder designed for 3D printing on compact printers.

The binder is divided into 15 main modules, allowing every individual part to fit within the build volume of a Prusa MINI. The modules are assembled using 16 connectors, creating a full-size A4 binder without requiring a large-format 3D printer.

The design is modular, repairable and easy to assemble. Individual components can be replaced if damaged, without having to print the entire binder again. The object that holds the sheets is my compressor bar, you can find it in my profile.

Modular Design

A conventional A4 binder is too large to print as a single piece on many compact 3D printers. This design solves that problem by dividing the binder into smaller modules.

Every individual component fits within the Prusa MINI build volume. The modules can then be assembled using the dedicated connectors.

The modular construction also makes the binder easier to transport and repair. If a component is damaged, only that component needs to be replaced.

Assembly

The binder is assembled by connecting the main modules with the triangular connectors. The connectors have been tested to provide a secure fit without excessive looseness.

The 4-ring system holds the pages in place, while the removable sheet-retaining mechanism allows the pages to be removed when necessary.

A detailed step-by-step assembly guide is provided with the model.

Development

The design was developed and tested through multiple iterations. Particular attention was given to the fit and strength of the modular connectors and the functionality of the ring and sheet-retaining systems.
