Is your yard under attack by mosquitos? Then you need the Tactical Mozzie Nuke!
Most mosquito "Buckets of Doom" feature the large 2-5 gallon tubs. I wanted something smaller that could be attached to a fence and stay out of dogs or my kids hands.
Hence the name of Tactical Nuke. It's small and easy to deploy and uses less than 32g of filament including the ladder. Quick printing, no supports.
I also added a small ladder since I have had lizards and other animals fall in a bucket and not be able to get out.
Bucket Type:
It's designed around this 2.5 Quart bucket from Home Depot: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Leaktite-2-5-Quart-Gray-Plastic-Paint-Bucket-25Q255GY/314131604
It should fit any other paint bucket with a 168mm (6.614") lip diameter.
How to use:
Print the lid and ladder. Attach the ladder by aligning the notches and pressing it on the lid.
Fill bucket 3/4 of the way up with water and add grass/leafs/sticks to make it comfy for the evil mozzies.
Pop in 1/4 to 1/2 of a mosquito dunk (I use these: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Summit-12-in-Mosquito-Dunks-6-Pack-110-12/100334779)
Hang around you yard and let the dunks do their work.
Top off the tactical mozzie nuke each month and add a new dunk.
Notes:
You want to print the lid slow at like 40mms max from 4.4-5.7mm to keep the lid lip printing correctly, otherwise it'll skip out on the overhang.
My profile is for the Kobra X and Sunlu Matte PETG.
Since this is to be out in the sun, PETG or better would be best.
Enjoy and let me know what you think. If you want one for a different bucket size, let me know and I might be able to upload a lid that'll fit.
