The Interaction Validation Module features motion sensing to verify when customers physically engage with a display, fixture, or product. The module helps businesses distinguish intentional interaction from passive traffic, creating a more reliable foundation for evaluating merchandising performance, fixture effectiveness, and customer engagement.

The system uses the Adafruit QT Py ESP32-S3 WiFi Dev Board with STEMMA QT - 8 MB Flash / No PSRAM, the Adafruit LiIon or LiPoly Charger BFF Add-On for QT Py, the Adafruit DS3231 Precision RTC - STEMMA QT, and the Adafruit LSM6DSOX + LIS3MDL - Precision 9 DoF IMU - STEMMA QT / Qwiic.  The device, which acts as a motion detection tool (AI-generated code), is powered by a Lithium Ion Polymer Battery - 3.7v 500mAh, and is connected via two STEMMA QT / Qwiic JST SH 4-Pin Cables (50mm long). The microcontroller and breakout boards are held in place with 2.00mm screws. The DS3231 module uses a CR1220 battery.

The housing is printed in PETG. The housing is also printed without top and bottom layers. The infill is Gyroid. The tolerances between the top and bottom components need to be tight for a secure fit.
