By factory default, the Flashforge Creator 5 Pro comes with a giant hole in the side of its enclosure. I am referring to the exhuast port. For some reason, Flashforge thought it was fine to just let all my hot filthy air flow out the side of my machine. But I paid for that hot air, and I would like it to stay in the enclosure. I would also like the nasty fumes my filament puts out filtered before they can escape. This model hopefully fixes just that. It opens when the exhuast fan is running, but remains closed when it isn't.
I recommend printing in a material that can withstand the heated enclosure temps (up to 65C). I used ABS and HIPS, though other high temp materials should work fine. You will need to print 6 flaps.
I adhered mine to the side of my printer with a ring of double sided tape. Other solutions may exist.
Thanks to MandicReally for their model that inspired this, and for providing a .f3d file, it made making this quite easy. In keeping with the spirit of sharing, I have included my .f3d as well. It is bad, I am not a skilled CAD modeler. Check it out at your own risk.
