Bring a little cosmic chaos to your desk, bookshelf, or nightstand with this diorama lamp inspired by pulp sci-fi, featuring the iconic "UFO over the farm" aesthetic.
This multi part print is a classic saucer hovering over a pasture, caught in the middle of a livestock retrieval. Designed to use a bambu led lamp001 or any standard 59mm usb led puck.
The tractor beam lampshade is printed in spiral/vase mode for maximum light pass-through. Remove the brim before setting it onto the base. The tractor beam sits on the farm base and the ufo sits on top of the tractor beam. Apply glue to the negative spaces if you don't want them to be easily removed.
The farm base has cord relief so that it sits flat, and a hole on the bottom to make it easier to install and remove the led puck.
The fence pieces are a tight fit, if they give you any trouble pushing in or they're twisting make sure you're not going in at an angle.
The fence, cows, and hay bale are all printed separately, the cows and hay are set to print by object for no color changes. Your setup can be easily customized by printing extras. Glue them in place or leave them loose to be able to change the scene.
The only color change in this print is for the UFO. My goal with this print was minimum time and filament use. Full disclosure-the bottom of the ufo printed with this profile is not perfectly smooth without any post processing because of the orientation and type of supports required. I experimented with several, and I decided that a smooth top and fewer color changes were the priority since the bottom isn't visible once its put together anyway.
