Simple apple picker with threads that match most US household threaded handles for things like brooms, painting extension poles, generic extension reach poles, long reach light bulb changing poles, etc. This picker works well for apples, and some other similar fruits.
Enjoy the picking!
I have included two versions of the apple pickers. One that requires heat set threaded inserts to attach the threaded interface, and one that allows you to thread m3 screws directly into the apple picker. May not be as strong, but works well in most cases. You will need to print the threaded interface file regardless of which apple picker version you print.
Hardware (SELF TAP VERSION):
It is recommended to use m3x12mm socket head cap screws. 4-40 x 1/2" socket head cap screws will work as well. Links provided below, but you should be able to find 4-40 x 1/2" screws at your local hardware store, and possibly m3x12mm screws.

Hardware (THREADED INSERT VERSION):
Screws: M3x6mm socket head cap screws

Heat Set Inserts: m3 threaded inserts x 4mm long x 5.16mm outer diameter

Note1: With the models provided you will want to use the heat set inserts linked here from McMaster-Carr. Most inserts from amazon or similar have a smaller outer diameter, and will require you to modify the model prior to printing if you want the inserts to work properly.
Note2: You can always just glue the threaded interface to the apple picker as well if you choose not to use any hardware. I have done this with some of mine and had success.
