Detachable USB-C Mod without cutting or drilling into the body of the Virpil WarBRD (non D)
!!MODIFICATION AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
Print does need support
Assemly:
Put the USB-C inside the printed body with the leads sticking out of the hole at the back (might need some force to get the USB-C housing seated into the body)
Crimp the JST connector to the leads
Disassemble the body of the Virpil WarBRD
Remove the fixed USB cable from the mainboard inside
Place the printed USB body into the cable strain relief slot in the joystick housing
Reassemble the stick and attach a USB-C cable
Required materials:
1x USB-C with 4 wire pigtails Amazon.nl Amazon.com
1x 5-pin 2.0 mm JST-PH female (link is set with crimp tool) Amazon.nl Amazon.com
If you don't want to buy a crimp tool there are jst connectors available with leads already attached but you will need to solder the wires
