The 'Clavel' ('Carnation' in English) was originally supposed to be a one-off custom I made for myself, but seeing that there are no Smiley frameworks that are even similar I decided to publish it.
Warning: This build kinda sucks
I did not take the time to polish it for the public, it just uses whatever I had on hand already with little consideration for availability, and it uses a completely different construction to the base Smiley itself.
Also, it's a METRIC variant of the Talon Smiley built using the AKBM hardware kit, this thing is a bit wacky.
(Unfortunately I could not make an imperial version)
Keep in mind: While you don't have to use it (and I don't quite think the Smiley likes it very much), this framework is built around a 40cm barrel, though I wish it could've been above 50cm.

2 | M3 Bolt, 35mm |
4 | (OPTIONAL, SEE NOTES) M3 Self-Tapping, 4mm (6mm may work) |
Slings | |
+2 | M3 Hex Nut |
+2 | M3 Heatset Insert |
4 | M3 Bolt, 6mm |
Rear Sight | |
+3 | M3 Hex Nut |
1 | M3 Countersunk Bolt, 30mm |
2 | M3 Countersunk Bolt, 10mm |
1 | M2.6 Self-Tapping Screw (Nerf Spec works. I'm really sorry about this one...) |
1 | 6mm*18mm Spring |
1 | 6mm*5mm Spring (You can just grab a second 6*18 and cut it down, you can probably use whatever really.) |
Cleaning Rod | |
1 | 40cm 6mm-OD 4mm-ID Aluminum Extrusion |
1 | M4 Heatset |
1 | M4 Grub Screw |
Note: | You're probably going to need a vice and a driver for the grub screw. Yes, you're driving it INTO the aluminum rod. Good luck. |
Total | |
13 | M3 Hex Nut |
6 | M3 Heatset Insert |
4 | M3 Bolt, 6mm |
2 | M3 Bolt, 8mm |
4 | M3 Bolt, 16mm |
1 | M3 Bolt, 18mm |
1 | M3 Bolt, 30mm |
2 | M3 Bolt, 35mm |
4 | (Opt.) M3 Self-Tapping, 4mm/6mm |
1 | M3 Countersunk Bolt, 30mm |
2 | M3 Countersunk Bolt, 10mm |
1 | M2.6 Self-Tapping Screw (Nerf Spec works. Again, sorry...) |
1 | 6mm*18mm Spring |
1 | 6mm*5mm Spring (You can just cut down another 6*18, or use whatever this build has a lot of leeway) |
1 | 40cm 6mm-OD 4mm-ID Aluminum Extrusion |
1 | M4 Heatset |
1 | M4 Grub Screw |
(I hope I got these right anyways)
NOTES:
The actual design itself has a lot of leeway behind heatsets/nuts for screw length, these are just what I used. For most of these you can just use any reasonably sized screw.
Your build is gonna be SLIGHTLY different from mine. Mine uses older files with a few issues that I (hopefully) ironed out for release but weren't really worth the material waste of a reprint.
As for the self-tapping M3 screws: These are for the Bolt Guide. The standard AKBM hardware kit M3 8mm self tappers are too long and if fully screwed in prevent the bolt from moving. It will run fine either without them or with them half screwed in, it's just annoying.
This is missing a custom designed magazine & BCAR specifically for it, this is due to the fact I'm lazy and have yet to bother.
As for the printing: You're smart, I'll leave it up to your discretion. It's very obvious on most parts anyway.
The receiver hates being printed due to the filleting, I just went over it with a soldering iron and sand paper... This build was supposed to be a one-off...
We also outta rails.

Heatset Locations:

Sight Assembly:

Forestock Assembly: (WIP)
This one is annoying to explain but it's literally just how it looks. Barrel band is tricky if you don't know how to align it though.
Stock Assembly:

(Beyond this point you just attach it like you would normally)
