This specific paint scheme comes from the post-war testing with V2s done by the United States at White Sands Proving Grounds. This was the first test flight performed on April 16th, 1946. I have made this model as accurate as possible using historical reference images and technical documents. This model is split by color for single color printers and uses very few supports. It features only 12 parts, and is very easy to assemble.

Printing:

These parts are all pretty straightforward to print. I did them with 10 percent lightning infill because they really don't need to be strong.

For V2 Top Yellow and V2 Mid Yellow, I printed those upside down so that their cylindrical middle sections are on the print bed. I also printed both tail sections upside down so that the tail fins themselves do not need supports. For V2 Tail Black, its cylindrical middle section will need supports but this is the only place supports are required for the whole model. Most of these parts have a "+" shaped cutout, but this is supported on both sides and small enough to not need supports.

The rest of the models can be printed how they are already oriented. The "+" shaped connector piece needs to be printed 3 times, and can be in any color, as they are not visible after assembly.

Assembly:

The top, mid, and tail black and yellow pieces are all designed to nest together to give the checkerboard effect. These sections can all be glued together in their nested positions. Take care to keep the flat faces pressed against a flat surface to ensure they line up perfectly.

You can now glue the tip to the top black and yellow section with the small silver spacer between them, and a connector piece to help align everything.

The mid section can now be glued on with a connector piece. The mid section is not a smooth cylinder, it has slight curve and needs the yellow piece to be on top. Ensure you have the colors rotated correctly to get the checkerboard pattern.

The tail can now be glued on with a connector piece and the large silver spacer on top of it. The rotation of the tail section does not make any difference.

You now have a finished rocket! Please share makes!
