Print Settings:

  • Any layer height (though larger layer height won't hurt anything)

  • Any nozzle size (largest one you have)

  • 2-4 walls (to be water-tight)

  • Use a different filament for support interface for easy removal and less scarring

  • Dry your filament to reduce stringing as much as possible

  • Increase travel speed to 1000mm/s for even less stringing

  • Ironing for smooth surface

WARNING:

  • I am not responsible for the death or injury of your hermit crab(s)

  • Before installing into tank or enclosure, pour water into it (as shown in the gif), and if it leaks, reprint another one or use aquarium epoxi/resin to cover the print up. If it doesn't leak, good job

  • DO NOT use tap water, bottled water (except for bottled spring water), or table salt water

  • You can use rain water (straight from the sky), bottled spring water, already made solutions, and dechlorinated tap water.

  • ALWAYS supervise your hermit crabs while in this pool

  • Put some sand and/or pebbles at the bottom of the pool to make sure hermit crabs can climb out

  • Reduce stringing because hermit crabs can choke and die on TPU strings.

Why use TPU?

  • TPU is water-tight

  • TPU is more humidity and temp resistant than stuff like PLA.
