This DIY telescope camera module is designed to fit directly into a standard 1.25" focuser and uses a TP‑Link Tapo C110 as its imaging device. The camera features a small 3‑megapixel sensor, which results in a naturally large crop factor when used in a telescope. Because of this, the system is not intended for high‑quality astrophotography. Instead, it provides a simple and accessible way to experiment with live telescope imaging, basic lunar observation, and real‑time monitoring.

The video feed is available through an RTSP stream, allowing seamless integration with MotionEye, VLC, or any other RTSP‑compatible software. This makes it easy to view or record the telescope output over your network. The camera’s IR‑cut filter remains fully functional.

Assembly requires only basic tools and minimal electronics experience. A Phillips screwdriver, a flathead screwdriver and a soldering iron are needed for the build. All assembly steps are explained in the PDF instruction manual, which should be consulted before starting the project.
