This Camera Tripod Quick Release Plate is designed for cameras and other devices using the standard 1/4"-20 UNC tripod mount. Two versions are available: Female version (recommended): designed to be used with a standard 1/4"-20 UNC male screw, which is inexpensive and widely available. This version is recommended for maximum strength and reliability, as the load is supported by a metal screw rather than a 3D-printed thread. Male version: includes a printable 1/4"-20 UNC threaded stud and can be useful as an emergency or temporary solution when a suitable metal screw is not available. It should be printed using a strong technical material with good mechanical properties to minimize the risk of the printed thread breaking inside the female thread of the camera or other mounted device. For regular use, the female version with a metal 1/4"-20 UNC screw is strongly recommended.
