Dust Extractor Inlet Cap
At our workshop, we run a Multicam CNC router and a Paoloni table saw, both connected to a shared dust extractor. When both machines are hooked up simultaneously, suction performance drops noticeably.
To solve this, I designed a simple cap that blocks off one of the extractors’ inlets when not in use. Since the CNC and table saw are never operated at the same time, this cap lets us disconnect one machine and seal the unused inlet — no more swapping ducts back and forth.
Specs:
Fits an extractor inlet with 110 mm inner diameter and up to 52 mm depth PLA will work fine, but for strength and durability, I recommend a more durable material like ABS/ASA
PRINT SETTINGS:
20–25 % infill
0.20 mm layer height
3 to 4 walls
PLA or PETG
A straightforward, functional print that keeps your dust system efficient and your workspace cleaner.
