This black plastic holder is used to stabilize and vertically connect two Base Grid plates, stacking them to enable the construction of 3D projects with vertical height. The part's original designation in the manual is "3D Vertical Stabilizer" (or "Base Grid Support").
Printing recommendations:

Infill: 20–30% for sufficient peg strength
