A modular ground stake and cable management holder designed for the CYBRES phytosensor system. It securely anchors plant sensors, routes cables, and holds structural elements directly in the soil.
Features
Modular Stackable Design: Multiple units can be connected end-to-end to extend the total length and height as your plants grow.
Ground Insertion: Reinforced stake profile for easy insertion into garden soil or potted plant substrates.
Cable Management: Built-in clips/slots to prevent strain on sensor wires.
Structural Support: Holds standard CYBRES sensor elements and framing rods firmly in place.
Ergonomic Thumbscrew/Wing Knob Design: Includes printable hand-tightening covers/knobs for M3 nuts for quick, tool-free adjustment.
Multi-Position Mounting Holes: Integrated holes along the main segments allow repositioning the end head or attaching components at different points along the arm, adding an extra degree of freedom.
Recommended Print Settings
Material: PETG or ASA/ABS (Strongly recommended for outdoor use and moist soil; PLA may degrade over time).
Infill: 30–40% (Gyroid or Grid for high rigidity).
Perimeters/Walls: 3 to 4 walls for strong connection joints and stake stiffness.
Layer Height: 0.2 mm (recommended for clean interlocking tolerances).
Supports: No
Assembly & Print Instructions for M3 Nut Knobs:
The files include ergonomic knob handles (covers) for standard M3 nuts:
Slice the M3 knob model and add a Pause at Height (or
M600/ Pause command in PrusaSlicer/Bambu Studio/Cura) just before the layer that covers the internal nut pocket.Start the print. Once paused at the specified layer, insert the M3 nut into the socket.
Resume printing to seal the M3 nut inside the printed housing.
Assembly Tip For the best interlocking fit when stacking multiple holders, make sure your printer flow rate / extrusion multiplier is properly calibrated.
