The earplugs do their job well, but I wouldn't use them for any serious hearing protection purposes, mostly day-to-day loud or distracting and droning noises. for $10, they're worth buying just to see if they are your thing. I like em. I am not a safety professional, I'm not responsible for your decisions, yada yada.

The two parts are assembled via a 20 mm "lug-width" watch band pin, which you can find readily available in lots of kits. I had one laying around in a more general watch maintenance kit. The hinge stays closed by two 1/4" x 3 mm cylindrical magnets. I installed the magnets with super-glue, which I suggest.

Use any filament within reason; mine is PLA with like 4 walls (0.6mm nozzle).
