I saw one of these for an OXA quick change tool post but it doesn't work with the tool post that I have. This dial indicator mount is for the AXA tool post that Little Machine Shop sells. It doesn't say AXA but has the numbers 250-100 or 250-111 on the side. It is larger and more robust than the OXA post (and more expensive!).
It's primary use is to help set up a four jaw chuck but can be used for other functions too.
The hardware used: 2 ea. 1/4 x 20 Heat inserts, one #8x32x1-1/4 screw with #8 nut, 1 each 1/4x20x2 screw with nut. If you need or want a metric version, I'll be glad to do it. It would be easy. I might just do it anyway.
I have several dial indicators and they all fit.
Printed with PLA, 5 shells, 25% infill. Other material could be used but PLA works just fine. The only force it will have pushing against it is the dial indicator.
