Models like these can be easy to design and provide a neat way to display text. This can hopefully help to spark some creative ideas in your designs.

Printing:

  • Material - PLA is probably the best material for these designs but any material can be used.

  • Perimeters - Since some of the features are rather skinny and there is fair amount of support material to remove, I would suggest a minimum of 3 perimeters.

  • Infill - 10%-20% should be fine.

  • Support - With models like these, you will have to use support material. The trick is to make the support material as easy as possible to remove without damaging the models. Dissimilar interface layers help if you have that ability (ex: PETG interface layer for PLA model).

Designing with two words of equal character length is the easiest to design and print. As you can see, adding a third word requires much more design effort. It also makes printing the model substantially more complex and difficult to get good results. For the PRINT_EVERY_THING model, scaling the model larger will help provide better results when printing.
