Find a useful balance between print speed and surface quality with six labelled speed zones: 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80 mm/s.

Each level repeats the same geometry, making it easy to compare ringing, corner definition, curve smoothness and extrusion consistency.

The model includes:

  • A convex curve and a concave cutout.

  • An approximately 45° sharp corner, a 90° corner and a chamfer.

  • A long straight wall for inspecting surface finish.

  • An open bottom to save material and printing time.

  • An external adhesion flange.

Keep your own printing profiles

The OrcaSlicer 3MF contains the model and six speed-only modifier volumes. It does not include printer, filament or process presets. Your temperatures, flow, cooling, acceleration and layer height remain under your control.

Select your usual profiles, import the 3MF as model/geometry, then expand the object list to confirm that all six modifiers are present. Slice and check the Speed preview before printing. Keep the printer’s speed multiplier at 100% during the test.

Cooling settings, volumetric flow limits and machine acceleration can reduce actual speed below the labelled value.

Print details

  • Dimensions: approximately 84 × 35.4 × 36.8 mm.

  • Suggested starting point: 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.20 mm layers.

  • Print upright in the supplied orientation.

  • No supports required.

  • Example PETG estimate: approximately 38 minutes and 8 g, depending on your profile.

Compare the finished levels and choose the fastest one that meets your quality requirements, then validate it on a real print.

Compatibility: the automatic speed modifiers are intended for OrcaSlicer, with local slicing checked in version 2.4.2. The included STL contains geometry only; speed changes must be configured manually in other slicers.
