The original vented replacement panel from Corsair is no longer manufactured and appears to be unavailable from vendors. This replacement preserves the original chassis mounting points while replacing most of the solid front face with a hexagonal ventilation pattern.

The panel is split into two printable halves and joined with a V-shaped tongue-and-groove seam for alignment and increased glue area.

The mushroom latch cartridges slide into dovetail sockets in the upper panel. They are printed separately so the latch geometry can be oriented in a much stronger direction relative to FDM layer lines than if the latches were printed vertically as part of the panel.

Design notes

The final geometry was established using physical fit gauges against the case rather than relying only on measurements of the original molded panel.

The lower hook geometry, upper push-latch positions, chassis bumper contact surfaces, and overall panel height were all iteratively fit-tested before the finished panel was printed.

Features

  • Fits the Corsair Obsidian 750D front-panel opening

  • 200 × 350 mm assembled size

  • Large hexagonal ventilation field

  • 15 mm solid perimeter

  • Uses the original lower pivot locations

  • Uses the original upper push-latch locations

  • Separate, side-printed mushroom latch inserts for improved strength across FDM layer lines

  • Two-piece construction for printers that cannot fit the full panel in one piece

  • V tongue-and-groove joint for alignment and increased glue area

  • Preserves access to the upper 5.25-inch drive bays

Tested print settings

  • Material: PETG

  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm

  • Layer height: 0.20 mm

  • Perimeters: 4

  • Top solid layers: 4

  • Bottom solid layers: 4

  • Infill: 15% gyroid

  • Print one upper half, one lower half, and two latch cartridges

Assembly

Dry-fit the two panel halves before gluing.

I used CA glue with accelerator on the V-shaped joint. Assemble the two halves on a flat surface and make sure the front faces remain coplanar while the adhesive cures.

The mushroom latch cartridges slide into the dovetail sockets in the upper panel. Test-fit these before installation.
