This is a FreeCad file, stl and a step file that will allow you to make custom trays for mechanic stools like the "Valuezone" one pictured which is sold under different names.

This is not actually a useable tray, it is an outline of the shape which will allow you to make your own tray.

The file consists of two 2mm "pads" or "extrusions." The top one is the lip that goes around the top of the tray, the bottom one you'd extrude downward to make the part of the tray that hangs under the lip.

TIPS: You'll want to limit your downward extrusion to about 35mm to avoid interfering with the casters of the stool.

I made the lip on my trays 4mm and they have held up fine, but I used PCTG which is a strong filament to begin with.

You can extrude upward if you want a really deep tray or something, but if you don't extrude upward, the factory trays will fit on top of these quite nicely. You can have the 4 factory trays and when you take them out there will be more trays underneath! You'll go tray crazy!
