5 Beginner Friendly Magic Props!

Everything prints with NO supports and around 10-15% infill in PLA.

  • Piercing Coin

  • Cup and Balls

  • Prop Wand

  • Jumping Wand

  • Picture Frame

  • NEW! - Rubik's Cube Solver (BETA)

  • More to Come!

NEW! - RUBIK'S CUBE SOLVER

  • 1 x Cube Solver

  • 1 x Rubik's Cube (full size or mini)

This is designed for a cube sized at 56mm. Using this, change the scale of the print to fit the cube you are using. I printed it for a cube that was 30mm big as a test run, so I changed the scale to be ~56% of the original, and it worked great.

The secret for this trick is the state the cube already is in. For cubers, follow this algorithm:

U' D L2 U B2 D2 B2 D2 L F' U D' R U' F2 L F' B'

For non-cubers who don't know what they are looking at, follow this link. Show yourself "mixing up" the cube, (just pointlessly turning it) and then revert to original position. Show the empty tube and place the cube into the tube as shown.

Rotate the tube slightly to show only the solved side before lifting the tube.

PIERCING COIN

  • 5 x Coin Nail (works best if each printed individually

  • 1 x Bottom Capsule

  • 1 x Top Capsule

  • 1 x US quarter or Coin

To perform the trick, place coin in the bottom capsule and close it with the top capsule. Place the nails in each of the edges, saving the middle for last. If it ever gets stuck, shake the container a little bit to move the coin.

CUPS AND BALLS

  • 3 x Magic Cup

  • 4 x Pom-Pom balls

Take one ball and put it in the middle cup before starting the trick. Place the three cups, including the one with the extra ball in it, behind the three shown balls and explain how the ball will melt through the cup on your command. Place the ball on the center cup, stack the other two cups on top, tap the stack with your magic wand, and show the ball on the bottom! Repeat as many times as wanted.

PROP WAND

  • 2 x Basic White OR Basic Rounded White

  • 1 x Basic Black

Print out all the parts which should assemble together without needing glue. If too loose, a few drops of super glue would do the job. Nothing too special about this, only a prop with MAGICAL powers.

JUMPING WAND

  • 2 x Hollow White

  • 2 x Flat Tip OR Rounded Tip

  • 1 x Hollow Wand

  • 1 x Rubber Band

  • Paperclip (for assembly)

  • Pencil (for assembly)

  • Needle-nose pliers (optional)

This is the most complicated assembly by far. Cut the rubber band in half and tie one end to a flat or rounded tip. Slide a hollow white onto the rubber band. Bend the paper clip into a "J" shape and tie a loose-ish knot onto the curve of the paperclip. Drop the paperclip into the hollow wand with the other hollow white attached on the bottom and wiggle the paperclip as close to the bottom as possible. If the paperclip is long enough, you can just pull it through, but if not, grab the paperclip with the needle-nose pliers. Untie the rubber band from the paperclip while being extra careful to NOT LET GO OF THE RUBBER BAND. Tie this end to the other tip (deceivingly hard to do) and there you have the assembled wand! To perform this trick, hold one end in between two fingers and push the wand down, creating tension in the rubber band. Let go quickly enough and the wand will leap from your hand! Pictures for assembly coming soon.

PICTURE FRAME

  • 4 x Funky Corner

  • 1 x Missing Piece

  • 1 x Frame

Each of these should be printed at 50-75% SCALE! With each of the "funky corners" on one side it will make a full square that seems to take up the entire frame, but take them out and change the orientation and reassemble to find a missing piece in the frame! How magical is it that you have the fitting missing piece?

DISCLAIMER

These models are pretty rough at the moment. I didn't have enough time to really polish them before the contest ends, so this is a promise to update and fix any problems found. I just kept having ideas for magic tricks and decided to make them all into one set This magic kit is accidentally very similar to this magic set released last year. I didn't see this until after I had made all the props, so I promise I designed and modeled each prop by myself! My current printer isn't the best per say, so my prints won't look as good as yours!

Happy Magic-ing!
