Keep model-building tools, small parts and paint bottles organized with the FlowTray Series – Model 4.
The tray combines a long tool channel, two parts compartments and a dedicated bay for one of two interchangeable four-bottle racks. Choose the rack with 26 mm or 32 mm CAD openings to suit your supplies.
Features
Long channel for tweezers, files, brushes and similar tools.
Two separate compartments for small parts and accessories.
Dedicated bay for a removable four-bottle rack.
Two alternative bottle racks with nominal 26 mm or 32 mm openings.
Sloped retrieval surfaces in the tool and parts compartments.
Rounded internal corners.
Stackable with all organizer trays in the FlowTray Series.
No magnets or additional hardware required.
Dimensions
Organizer tray: 168 × 118 × 28 mm.
Tool channel: 163.2 × 30 mm.
Bottle-rack bay: 76.8 × 80.8 mm.
Two parts compartments: 84 × 39.2 mm each.
Bottle Rack 26: 75.6 × 79.6 × 16 mm, with four nominal 26 mm openings.
Bottle Rack 32: 75.6 × 79.6 × 16 mm, with four nominal 32 mm openings.
Nominal socket depth: 13.6 mm.
Nominal tray wall thickness: 2.4 mm.
Nominal tray base thickness: 4.8 mm.
The 26 mm and 32 mm values describe the CAD opening diameters, not guaranteed maximum bottle diameters. As a starting point, use bottle bodies no larger than approximately 25 mm or 31 mm respectively. Measure both the bottle body and cap before printing. Wide caps can interfere with adjacent bottles; the hole-center spacing is 36.4 × 38.4 mm. Compatibility with specific paint brands is not guaranteed.
All dimensions are nominal. Rounded corners and retrieval ramps reduce the completely flat usable area.
Stacking
The underside locates inside the rim of the tray below, allowing different FlowTray Series layouts to be combined in one stack.
The removable bottle racks do not have their own stacking interface. Tall bottles and any other protruding objects must be removed before another tray is placed on top. The trays are gravity-stacked and centered by their geometry; they do not use a snap-fit or locking mechanism.
Suggested Print Settings
Orientation: flat base on the build plate, compartments facing up.
Nozzle: 0.4 mm.
Layer height: 0.20 mm.
Walls: 3 perimeters.
Bottom layers: 5.
Infill: 15–20%.
Supports: designed to print without supports.
Material: PLA is a suitable starting option for dry indoor storage.
These are suggested starting settings, not a tested print profile. Use the appropriate profile for your printer and filament, inspect the sliced preview and print at 100% scale to preserve stacking and insert compatibility.
Files and Validation
The upload includes the organizer tray and both optional bottle-rack sizes. STL, STEP and geometry-only 3MF files are provided together with the editable CAD source. The 3MF files do not contain configured printer profiles.
The geometry has been digitally checked as closed, single-part meshes. The STEP files were successfully re-imported and the 3MF geometry matches the corresponding STL.
The models have not yet been physically test-printed or slicer-tested. Actual fit depends on your printer, filament and print settings. All preview images are CAD renderings, not photographs of printed models.
If you print it, please share a Make and let me know how the bottle-rack and stacking fit work on your printer.
