Ive designed this to print with minimal supports and tested two versions. Once printed it can be oriented vertically or horizontally and has included storage for additional lithophanes. One is fuzzy skin with marble pla for a stone look, the other is a wood color with an added modifier in the slicer to give it a wood texture. You could even go so far as to print it with wood filament and then stain it (beware of nozzle clogs if you go this route) The instructions will be included below.
The frame size is modeled for a 150mm x 200 mm lithophane (3:4 portrait /landscape) which you can input into the website below when making your lithophane. In the slicer make sure you have 4 walls so the light doesnt bleed through the actual frame and just the lithophane. And when you make the lithophane it will need to be white filament with solid infill or added walls. The light will then be able to shine through creating the needed shading. And for the best detail i printed my pictures vertical, I have a core xy printer.
