Keep sewing tools and supplies organized with the FlowTray Series – Sewing 8.

The tray combines six bobbin compartments, a long tool channel and a dedicated bay for the removable Cushion Holder. Add your own fabric and suitable padding to create a personalized pincushion insert.

### Features

- Six compartments for bobbins, thread accessories and small sewing supplies.

- Long channel for scissors, seam rippers, marking tools and similar items.

- Dedicated bay for the removable FlowTray Cushion Holder.

- Rounded internal corners and a sloped retrieval surface in the tool channel.

- Stackable with all organizer trays in the FlowTray Series.

- No magnets or additional hardware required.

### Dimensions

- Organizer tray: 168 × 118 × 28 mm.

- Tool channel: 163.2 × 27 mm.

- Six bobbin compartments: 30 × 40.7 mm each.

- Cushion-holder bay: 66 × 83.8 mm.

- Cushion Holder: 64.8 × 82.6 × 12 mm.

- Cushion Holder inner area: 60.8 × 78.6 mm.

- Nominal tray wall thickness: 2.4 mm.

- Nominal tray base thickness: 4.8 mm.

All dimensions are nominal. Rounded corners reduce the usable area for rectangular objects. Bobbin shapes and sizes vary, so compatibility with a particular sewing-machine brand is not guaranteed.

### Cushion Holder

The printed holder is a frame for a DIY pincushion; fabric, padding and fastening materials are not included in the model. Secure the filling appropriately and handle needles carefully. Do not transport loose needles in an open stacked tray.

### Stacking

The underside locates inside the rim of the tray below, allowing different FlowTray Series layouts to be combined in one stack. The Cushion Holder does not have its own stacking interface.

Remove protruding tools, needles or an overfilled cushion before stacking. The trays are gravity-stacked and centered by their geometry; they do not use a snap-fit or locking mechanism.

### Suggested print settings

- Orientation: flat base on the build plate, compartments facing up.

- Nozzle: 0.4 mm.

- Layer height: 0.20 mm.

- Walls: 3 perimeters.

- Bottom layers: 5.

- Infill: 15–20%.

- Supports: designed to print without supports.

- Material: PLA is a suitable starting option for dry indoor storage.

These are suggested starting settings, not a tested print profile. Use the appropriate profile for your printer and filament, inspect the sliced preview and print at 100% scale to preserve stacking and insert compatibility.

### Files and validation

STL, STEP and geometry-only 3MF files are provided together with the editable CAD source. The 3MF files do not contain configured printer profiles.

The geometry has been digitally checked as closed, single-part meshes. The STEP files were successfully re-imported and the 3MF geometry matches the corresponding STL.

The models have not yet been physically test-printed or slicer-tested. Actual fit depends on your printer, filament and print settings. All preview images are CAD renderings, not photographs of printed models.

If you print it, please share a Make and let me know how the insert and stacking fit work on your printer.
