These are 4 quadratic surfaces used in teaching calculus 3.
I have several sets of these printed to teach calculus 3 students about quadratic surfaces. Students will calculate traces, then draw them or use wikki stix to show them on these prints. They will match each equation to each surface.
The four surface correspond to
x^2 + y^2 − z^2 = 1 Hyperboloid of one sheet
x^2 + y^2 − z^2 = 0 The Elliptic Cone
z = x^2 + y^2 Paraboloid
z = x^2 - y^2 Hyperbolic Paraboloid
I have included the worksheet I give by students.
