These are surfaces with a 10 by 10 grid of normal vectors. For each surface you need to print 100 pointers that act as normal vectors to the surface. I would recommend printing a few extra pointers.
I use these models to teach calculus 3. They help students visualize normal vectors and help understand why in 3 dimensions we need a tangent plane and not tangent line.
The arrows being printed separately also helps being able to print them in a different color without the extra time of dual color printing.
The pointers are dialed in for my printer to create a friction fit. I would advise doing several test prints to get the right fit before printing 100 pointers.
