A desk cube that runs a pomodoro timer. Stand it on a face to pick the interval, lay it face up to pause, and lay it face down to switch it off. There are no buttons: the only control is which way up it is.
This is a remix of Robin's coffee_timer (https://github.com/fly-robin-fly/coffee_timer), which does the same trick for coffee brew times. I rewrote the firmware for pomodoros and redesigned the enclosure around a Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-1.28, and it came out a little smaller: a 44.9 mm cube.
It prints as four parts, each already oriented for printing:
Center: the main shell
Face: the display's front, which plugs into the top of the shell.
Back: the back plate.
Barrier: a thin plate that sits inside the shell behind the display to separate the battery and vibration motor from the main pcb.
The Fusion 360 source (.f3d) and an assembly STEP are included if you want to remix it further.
This also uses a few additional parts internally including:
CPU/Display Module: https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-1.28
Li-Po Battery: Size 102535 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GQB1DCTW?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
Vibration Motor: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FQTHK9LH?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
4x M2.6x6 Self-Tapping Screws for holding the part together.
The firmware, wiring notes, and Home Assistant setup (it broadcasts its state over BLE as BTHome) live on GitHub: https://github.com/coddingtonbear/pomodoro-cube
