A disassemblable stand intended to hold a lightweight reusable bag open while it air dries upside down over a drip tray.

Two flat frames slide together at 90 degrees. No screws, glue or hinges are required. Large ventilation openings leave space for airflow. Separate the frames for flat storage.

FILES AND DIMENSIONS

Print ONE part A and ONE part B. These are complementary assembly parts, not alternative sizes.

Each default part: 90 × 200 × 4 mm.

Assembled stand: approximately 90 × 90 × 200 mm.

The OpenSCAD source allows adjustment of width, height, thickness and joint clearance.

CHOOSING A BAG

Choose a frame taller than the bag's internal depth so the open edge remains above the tray. Start with at least 20 mm extra height.

For the default frame, an internal bag depth up to about 180 mm and a laid-flat opening width around 140 mm or larger are starting estimates, not tested compatibility. The bag should fit without stretching.

Intended for lightweight bags. Stability with heavy silicone bags has not been tested.

PRINTING AND ASSEMBLY

Print both parts flat as supplied. The geometry is designed for printing without supports; check the slicer preview.

Suggested starting settings: PLA or PETG, 0.2 mm layers and 3 walls. These settings have not been print-tested.

Slide the frames together through their opposing slots to form a cross. Do not force a tight joint: adjust fit_clearance in OpenSCAD if needed. Default total slot clearance: 0.4 mm.

Place on a stable drip tray and drape the washed bag over the stand, opening facing down.

PROTOTYPE STATUS

Created with AI assistance using OpenSCAD. STL meshes have been checked, but printing, joint fit, stability and drying performance remain untested. All images are CAD renders.

The print is not certified for food contact or tested for dishwasher use. Use only where your print material and cleaning method are suitable for contact with the bag interior.

Feedback and photos of actual prints are welcome.
