Keep the tmux shortcuts you always forget right next to your keyboard. This is a 120 × 120 × 120 mm cube made of six flat panels. Each face covers one part of tmux:

  • Top: >_ tmux, the prefix key (C-b = Ctrl+b) and Command mode

  • Front: Sessions

  • Right: Windows

  • Back: Panes

  • Left: Copy mode (vi keys)

  • Bottom: Misc options and Buffers

Why it's built this way

  • Flush inlaid text. The lettering sits in the first two layers (0.4 mm), embedded in the panel, so no small dots or letters can peel off. The visible face picks up the smooth finish of your build plate.

  • Readable at a glance. Descriptions are in DejaVu Sans Bold and keys in DejaVu Sans Mono Bold, with ~3.7 mm cap height and dark text on a white background.

  • Easy, square assembly. Five finger joints per edge with 0.2 mm clearance make the cube self-aligning. Every edge has a letter (A–L) engraved on the inner faces: match the same letters together. Side panels are also marked "↑ ARRIBA" (up).

Printing

  • One panel per plate, fits a 220 × 220 mm bed

  • Printed face down (text side on the plate), no supports

  • Requires a multi-material system (AMS, CFS, MMU…). Text and background share the same layers, so a manual filament swap won't work.

  • Each panel has two parts: background (filament 1, e.g. white) and text (filament 2, e.g. black)

Recommended settings

  • 0.4 mm nozzle

  • 0.2 mm layer height, 0.2 mm first layer

  • 3 walls, 15% infill

  • Elephant foot compensation ~0.15 mm (important: the fingers start on the first layer)

  • Use a wipe/prime tower to avoid color bleeding

  • Make sure your first layer is well tuned. Printing just the first two layers of one panel is a quick test.

Assembly

  1. Place the bottom panel with its engraved side up.

  2. Fit the four side panels, matching the letters and keeping "↑ ARRIBA" pointing up.

  3. Close it with the top. It holds by friction; add a drop of CA glue if you want it permanent.
