Hi everyone! I designed and 3D printed this set of hexagonal tiles featuring fundamental logic gates along with their symbols and truth tables. This project is designed for electronics enthusiasts, computer science students, programmers, and anyone looking for a quick reference cheat sheet or a cool desk gadget.
Each hexagon features:
The name of the logic gate (NOT, OR, NOR, XNOR, XOR, NAND, AND).
The schematic symbol of the gate.
The complete truth table (Inputs A, B, and Output Y).
Print Settings & Tips:
Layer Height: 0.16 mm or 0.2 mm (a lower layer height is recommended for sharper text and symbols).
Color Swap / Filament Change: The model is designed for an easy color change (pause at layer) to achieve high contrast between the background and the text/symbols (like the black and red version in the photos). You can also use an AMS setup.
Infill: 15–20% (standard infill like Gyroid works great).
Supports: Not required.
Applications:
Educational aid for electronics or computer science labs/classrooms.
Desk or wall decor (the modular hexagonal shape allows you to arrange them in any layout).
Unique drink coasters (if properly sealed/coated for moisture protection).
If you print this model, please share your makes in the "Realizations" tab! I’d love to see your color combinations.
