You will need super glue, 20-30 PPI fish tank filter foam, 1 M4X30 screw, 1 M4 nut, and 2 M5X20 screws/bolts.

Super glue and foam not pictured

After printing the 3 parts begin by cutting your foam about 1cm thick, and then to the round shape of the frame, with the best looking side on the flat printed side. Once you are happy with the fit, super glue it to the edges of the frame.

Then take 1 of the M5 screws and fasten the frame to the pole via the provided holes (the pole has small holes to allow for threading.) Screw the pole to the clamp the same way using the last remaning M5.

Then take the M4 nut and push it into the nut hole on the clamp. Slide the clamp onto the mic and screw your M4 screw through the 2 ears, threading into the nut.

You now have a custom pop filter for your AT2040.

NOTES:

This may be adaptable to other microphones, so I have included the parametric Python script Claude used to design it, at this Google Drive link. After it is configured you can run it with trimesh, shapely, manifold3d, mapbox_earcut, and numpy. You may want to wait a few hours before using the pop filter, as the super glue smell tends to linger. Enjoy!
