This is a parameterized remake of this project by @HZD_3034236. I strongly recommend seeing their post for full context.

This is a collection of rings that can be used for measuring round objects in millimeters. The sizes range from 20 to 60 millimeters in diameter, in increments of 2mm (e.g. 30mm, 32mm, 34mm, etc).

These models were created using OpenSCAD, a free and open-source CAD modelling program. The script is included as sizing_ring.scad at the top of the model file list. This can be used to create rings of arbitrary size as needed. The parameters it supports are:

  • Ring diameter (in mm)

  • Thickness of ring (defaults to a radius of 1.5mm, 3mm diameter)

  • Size of the "tag" indicating the ring's diameter

  • "Smoothness" of the resulting mesh

Pretty much all of these models use very little filament (on the order of about 1-4 grams of filament depending on ring size). I recommend a 100% in-fill on these models since they're rather small anyways.
