I was fed up with losing filters out of the back of my ventilator when I was out and about, so I designed this clip-in cage to hold the filter much more securely.

The cage clips onto the air intake, so it doesn’t need to be glued or otherwise fixed to the ventilator. It has large openings to leave plenty of space for airflow, so it shouldn’t restrict the air supply.

Filters are still easy to change, either by removing the cage or through one of the openings.

Printing

I printed mine in white PETG. Clean off any stringing or loose bits before fitting, so nothing can be drawn into the intake.

Fitting

  1. Hold the cage flat against the back of the unit, just below the air intake, with the arrows on the cage pointing upwards.

  2. Slide the cage up so the tabs hook securely behind the top edge of the intake.

  3. Once it’s at the top, push the bottom of the cage in, then pull it down until it clicks into place.

Please note

I designed this for my own prisma VENT40 and haven’t tested it on other models. It is an unofficial accessory, not affiliated with or approved by Löwenstein Medical, and you use it at your own risk.
