A pinup style Halloween figure of a cute witch with her spell book on a pumpkin.
From an AI generated image comes an AI generated (Meshy 6) 3d model courtesy of Makerlab "Image to 3d" when it was free. The result was printed on a Bambulab A1 AMS lite combo machine.
Original stl model needed much repair and editing with 3Dbuilder and Meshmixer. There was enough acceptable with the overall figure to make it salvageable. The lower extremities were a mess with extra partial limbs, badly bent limbs and perspective and proportion errors. A good practice model for getting more familiar with Meshmixer and 3Dbuilder functions.
The 3mf included is for Bambustudio A1 AMS lite printer setup using default settings.
An attempt was made to do a generic export from Bambulab with Coloring included but loading it in Orca gives homing position warnings with suggested gcode corrections. I have no means to test if this would work so on the side of caution it is not included. Instead use the stl model to create the Orca-slicer equivalent for the specific printer and configurations needed that can be colored in Orca or not.
This model requires a fair amount of support but most removed easily except for the tip of the hat and the tree vine pole bit at the back. The pole separated near the top and needed to be glued back on.
This was done as an experimental model utilizing pauses and spool swaps as well as the color blending layering technique.
The color blending works well as long as the view is in the plane of the layers. Its a bit different (kind of a topographical interference effect) when viewed from above. This may be improved upon somewhat but never eliminated by using thinner layering throughout or adaptive layering which will add time to an already long color build.
For the spool swaps
Start printing with green.
First pause swap green for yellow.
Second pause swap yellow for white.
