Additional credit

In addition to being a remix of RetroFrog's design, this model also uses some components of RobSmithDev's original case for the MiSTer Floppy PCB. Used with permission.

Additional parts needed

  • 10 x m3 x 12mm Socket head cap screws for the side pieces

  • 6 x m3 x 0.5mm screws for the floppy drive and PCB

  • 3.5" PC floppy drive

  • PC floppy drive ribbon cable

  • Power cable for floppy drive (I just used some dupont wires for this purpose)

  • MiSTer Floppy PCB: https://mister.robsmithdev.co.uk

Print instructions

Print two of the "washer", and one of every other item.

Assembly instructions

  1. Place the PCB down on the interior ledge.

  2. Use the two washers and two of the m3 x 0.5mm screws to secure the PCB.

  3. Attach the floppy and power connections.

  4. Rest the two top pieces in place on top of the bottom case.

  5. Push the two side pieces onto the case.

  6. Secure the side pieces with the m3 x 12mm scres.

Note

As with many devices for the MiSTer's USER port, I found that the MiSTer Floppy only works well with very short cables and no adaptors. This is why I have placed the port on the side, as this was the only way a cable short enough to work would reach for me.
