Print Options

The files come in three sets. Pick the one that fits your printer.

Single color, split: any printer

Files in single-color-split
The front and back halves print flat on their cut face with no supports.
The eyes (black) and pupils (teal or white) print as small flat pieces and glue into recesses in the face. Each piece has a 0.15 mm gap for glue.
The pupils are only 4 mm across, so print them slowly if necessary use a brim.

Multicolor, split: AMS / MMU

Files in multicolor-split
The same support-free halves.
The eyes and pupils are pre-positioned to match the front half. Load the front half, eyes and pupils together as one multi-part object and assign the filaments.

Multicolor, one piece: AMS / MMU

Files in multicolor-one-piece
Load the body, eyes and pupils as one multi-part object.
Needs supports under the body; tree/organic supports work best.
No assembly, but expect support marks on the lower half.

ASSEMBLY (split versions)

Four 1.75 mm filament pieces act as dowel pins to align the halves. Cut them about 13 mm long; the holes are 7 mm deep on each side.

The hole mouths are chamfered, so first-layer squish won't block the pins.

Push the pins into one half, add CA glue to the cut face, and press the halves together.

The antennae are part of the front half and print lying flat. Take that half off the bed carefully, ideally by flexing the build plate.
