This is a model of a low bypass turbofan, these types of engines are used in fighter jets (the ones you see on commercial airliners are high bypass).

The blades can rotate freely.
As you can see, in the image there are coloured blades. The blue ones are STATORS and the grey ones are ROTORS.
Now; in a real engine- you need stators to correct the airflow, these are stationary blades.

NOTE: GLUE REQUIRED!
The Cowling (white outer shell) is split into 2 parts, which are further split into 2 horizontally, in order to fit them in a 256x256x256mm build volume.

The Nacelle (the grey part covering the blades) is split in two.

There are 3 spacers between the compressors which have been cut in half in order for them to be able to connect to the shaft. You will have to glue them.

There is an exhaust cone at the back which you will have to glue on to the shaft.

You will have to glue both the shafts together.

Assembly should not be complicated. Just slide discs from bigger dia to smaller dia. with discs of opposite airfoils in between each (the stators). Follow the images and you should be good.
