The Opengear OM1200 series ships with a single-sided rack mount, which I found inadequate during testing. Opengear sells a full rack mount kit for this series, but only as an optional accessory. This model aims to solve the issues I had by complementing the included factory mount to give a full-width 1RU rack mount.
Compatibility
Tested on an OM1208-L and should fit all OM12xx models, as they share the same form factor. May fit the OM13xx series, but this is untested.
Design
The mount is split into two parts, A and B, so that each can be printed in the orientation that gives the best strength along its load path. The parts interlock during assembly for a rigid mount.
Part A comes in two versions: with and without a cable pass-through.
Extra Hardware
2 × M4 × 8 mm screws are required to mount the kit to the OpenGear
Printing
I printed in ASA for heat resistance. Print orientation should be face down with no supports required for either part
Testing
I tested the ASA parts over a month in a populated, warm network rack with no distortion or sagging.
