People with tremor, spasticity, MS, Parkinson's, or the use of only one hand run into two problems on a keyboard:
They hit the wrong keys because they cannot rest their hand on the keyboard.
They cannot hold a key combination such as Ctrl + C.
AdaptLock solves both without software, batteries or tools, and without leaving a mark on the keyboard.
Keyguard – A 5 mm grid floats 2.5 mm above the keycaps. 45° funnel holes guide a finger or a stylus to the key centre. You can rest your full palm on it and nothing triggers.
Lock cassette – A toggle-clamp (over-centre) mechanism, printed in place as 4 moving parts.
Push the paddle back and the key is held 2.3 mm down. Pull it forward to release.
The key's own spring locks the toggle, so no spring stays loaded and nothing creeps.
A compliant detent spring gives a clear click in the open position.
The cassette snaps into any of 7 modifier pockets: LShift, LCtrl, LWin, LAlt, AltGr, RCtrl, RShift.
Non-destructive fit – A perimeter skirt locates the grid on the case. TPU rails protect the aluminium deck, and two TPU clips at the front take up the reaction force of locked keys.
Fits a 220 mm bed – The grid comes in two halves joined by dovetail keys.
Print settings
Grid: PETG, 0.2 mm layers, 3 walls, 15 % gyroid. Print it upside down on textured PEI; the files are already oriented.
Cassette: matte PLA, elephant-foot compensation 0.2, thick bridges OFF, no brim, no supports.
Rails and clips: TPU 95A.

Parametric
The full Python generator is included: layout (ISO-DE and ANSI-US), tolerances, kinematics, and a self-contained mesh kernel. It checks every part for a watertight mesh, bed fit, and clearance over the full motion range.
