5-Channel Servo Controller & Robotics Console

The RoboBox 5-Potentiometer Servo Controller is an expanded, portable desktop console built specifically for robotics makers, 5-DOF robotic arm testing, hexapod/quadruped servo alignment, and multi-knob macro control.

This enclosure features 5 independent rotary potentiometer channels, an OLED screen cutout for real-time angle display, an integrated 18650 battery holder, a rocker power switch, and a USB-C charging port for fully wireless, desktop testing.

⚡ Technical Features

  • Multi-Axis Control: 5 independent rotary potentiometers for simultaneous 5-DOF motion or multi-servo calibration.

  • Visual Telemetry: Dedicated panel cutout for a 0.96" I2C OLED display to monitor live servo angles, PWM signals, or battery status.

  • Integrated Wireless Power: Houses an internal 18650 Li-ion battery paired with a TP4056 USB-C charging module for untethered operation.

  • Durable Fastener Design: Reinforced mounting posts designed for M3 brass heat-set inserts to ensure reliable, repeated assembly and teardown.

  • Customizable CAD Source: Includes the complete parametric Autodesk Fusion 360 source file to easily adjust component tolerances, hole spacing, or mounting layouts.

🖨 Assembly & Print Tips

  • Print Settings: Recommended PLA or PETG with 3 perimeters/walls to ensure high thread strength around screw mounts.

  • Infill: 15% – 20% (Gyroid recommended for vibration resistance and lightweight durability).

  • Supports: Minimal supports required—only for the side rocker switch cutout and USB-C port opening.

  • Heat-Set Inserts: Press M3 brass heat-set inserts into the lower body mounting posts using a soldering iron set to ~220°C.

  • Color Scheme: Dual-color print (e.g., bright top plate with a neutral base) highlights the embossed "THE ROBOBOX" branding.

📁 Included Files

  1. RoboBox_5Pot_Base.stl – Lower housing with internal 18650 battery holder and MCU tray.

  2. RoboBox_5Pot_TopLid.stl – Top plate with cutouts for 5 potentiometers, OLED window, and embossed branding.

  3. RoboBox_Knob.stl – Custom knurled potentiometer control knob.

  4. RoboBox_5Pot_Assembly.f3d – Fully editable Autodesk Fusion 360 source CAD file.
