Three spinning top designs, best printed in PETG. A fun way to use up leftover filament—change colors at any height to create your own stripes!
Use a small drop of cyanoacrylate (super glue) to secure the shaft to the body. During assembly, leave about 1–1.5 mm of axial clearance so the holding ring can move slightly up and down along the shaft. Keep glue away from the ring: it must rotate freely.
To launch, thread a thin cotton cord through the hole in the shaft and wind it around the shaft. Hold the ring, pull the cord briskly, then release the ring and let the top spin!
