@physicsfun made a coin with a fun trick, and I decided to make the model for public printing!
VSauce made a video explaining how to use it which I'd recommend watching
Only 9% of people can predict the magic octagons behavior.
On it's front there's an arrow pointing up. Rotate it and the back has an arrow pointing left. The arrows are at right angles from each other.
If you take the coin and rotate it 45 degrees clockwise, then flip it over, what direction is the arrow pointing on the other side? Not what you expected, was it?
Rotate it 45 degrees counter-clockwise from the same start position, now which way is the arrow pointing when you flip it over? Even more unexpected!
Make sure to print it with the embossed arrow up (the raised arrow on the bed)! This way will require no supports. Some fellow printers note that this may actually print better on its side still with no supports. May depend on your printer and its capabilities.
Suggested print settings:
- PLA
- .2mm height
- 15% gyroid infill
- No supports
