This holder will hold a 12mm diameter 30mm long laser module and a Li-Ion pouch battery (20x31x6mm) and screw onto the end of the barrel.
There are 3 M3 holes arranged 120 degrees apart around the end of the bore, these are used to align the laser beam to be parallel with the barrel (holder).
The holder has a 1/2" x20 UNF threaded hole at the other end that will screw on to the end of the barrel.
I added a connector on the laser wires that matched the battery connector and just plugged it in to use it.
To align the laser I placed the holder in a 3 jaw chuck, aimed the laser at a distant wall and rotated the chuck, the laser described a circle on the distant wall and the screws are adjusted until the circle becomes a dot or as small as possible whilst rotating.
I used some threadlock on the focus screw on the end of the laser to stop it moving once the focus was done otherwise it affects the laser spot alignment as it moves.
Once aligned I used hot melt glue to stop the laser moving.
