Bookends - Trees

These tree themed bookends are a decorative and functional bookshelf accessory inspired by... TREES! I wanted to create something that could hold books securely while also looking interesting enough to become part of the bookshelf decoration. The design combines a regular Tree silhouette with a cool geometric base pattern. The bookends are designed as a matching left and right pair, with each bookend featuring a detailed tree inside an arched frame and a patterned base underneath. To set them up, print a bookend top and a bookend base and slide the top onto the base poles, place them on a flat bookshelf or desk, and put your books between them. DONE! The vertical tree sections hold the books upright while the bases sit underneath the books to keep everything in place. Glue can we used if you want extra strength but keeping the parts removable allows for an easy way to compact the bookend without breaking. I created this model because I love the natural look of trees and I have a lot of books, therefore I created something based off of both. The design was made to be both practical and visually distinctive, turning a simple bookend into a really nice feature for a bookshelf while still doing its original job! :)
