A 3D-printable model of a display stand for the nine-cylinder Bristol Pegasus radial engine, famously used in aircraft such as the Supermarine Walrus.
The design was recreated from museum reference photographs and modelled in 3D, with the aim of capturing the distinctive structure of the original engine stand.
Important printing information
Scale: The model is provided at 1:1 scale relative to the real stand. You will need to scale it down in your slicer to suit your intended application.
Intended use: A display accessory for scale modelling, aircraft dioramas, museum-style displays, and aviation-themed projects.
Printing method: Designed with resin 3D printing in mind, although other printing methods may be suitable depending on your chosen scale and printer.
You can scale the model to suit your project, whether you are building a small display for a 1:72 aircraft collection or a larger aviation diorama. At smaller scales, some details may become extremely delicate, so adjust the scale and printing settings to suit your equipment.
This model was created as part of my ongoing Supermarine Walrus scale-modelling project. I wanted to give the Bristol Pegasus engine a proper place to be displayed rather than simply leaving it lying around the workbench!
I hope you enjoy printing and building it. Happy modelling!
