I have a new 2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E vehicle and I found while driving East during the day that sunlight reflecting off the dashboard hits the overhead light fixtures and reflects again into my eyes causing a distraction and eye strain.
See the photos for a comparison of simulated sunlight before and after the installation of the diffusers.
The diffuser has diagonal slats that completely prevent this from happening.
Required:
Crystal clear PETG filament https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C8NT6M1M
Scotch 0.5 inch mounting squares https://www.amazon.com/Scotch-0-5-inch-Restickable-R103-Square/dp/B004NNEI94
UV Resin glue or equivalent https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DX23J9YL
The mounting squares will not stay adhered to the PETG prints without glue
Steps:
Print the diffusers using PETG filament with 100% infill
Add UV Resin glue or the your favorite 3D print-compatible glue to the wells on the underside
Place the Scotch mounting squares in the wells
Set the glue under a UV lamp (or allow your glue to set)
Remove the backing and carefully place over the overhead light fixtures
