Description
This is a CarreraElement compatible with the Carrera STRAX system. This particular part was inspired by the original design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6272341
To improve durability, I redesigned the model as a multi-part assembly. This allows each component to be printed in its optimal orientation for maximum strength, reducing the risk of the hooks breaking. An additional benefit is that if a hook does break, it can be replaced individually instead of reprinting the entire part.
Assemble the parts using 3 × 12 mm Torx screws (or similar screws of the same size).
Printing Recommendations
For the best results, import into your slicer (I use Orca, split to objects and use local modifiers to increase the infill density around the connector pins to approximately 40%. This reinforces the most highly stressed areas without significantly increasing print time or material usage. Print the hooks lying on their side.
