Biology Model & Cadaver Labeling Pins 1-25 (with Storage Case)

A practical labeling system designed for anatomy, biology, and physiology labs. Instead of pinning directly into expensive anatomical models or cadaveric tissue, pair these pins with a small dab of modeling clay and you will have pins that will last much longer than DIY toothpick labels etc. The labeling design is original, but the case was inspired off This Parametric Box:

Recommended Files

  • Use the .3mf file: Highly recommended. The .3mf includes all embossed text, numbers, multi-color setups, and slicer modifier zones pre-configured.

  • .stl / .blend files: Provided for raw geometry/customization, but note that the text and numbers are handled via slicer embossing and are not baked into the base STLs.

Print Settings & Infill Modifiers (.4 Nozzle used for example images)

  • Outer Case & Lid: 15% infill general; 35% infill on hinge/clip modifier areas for durability.

  • Opening Latches/Clips: 35% infill.

  • Inner Foam-Style Insert: 5% infill to save filament and print time.

  • Pins: 100% infill (or 4–5 perimeters) recommended for needle stiffness.

  • Layer Height: 0.16–0.20 mm (0.12–0.16 mm recommended for sharp top-surface numbers).
