Coralboard SL Case: modular enclosure with 13 mounts
A modular, fully printable case for the Synaptics Coralboard SL edge-AI board (Astra SL2619, Coral NPU). A skeletal platform, a perimeter frame with cutouts for every side port, swappable top panels, and one universal mount interface that takes a DIN rail clip, Skadis, VESA, a tripod and nine other adapters.
Highlights
Every port reachable: USB-A, USB-C, Qwiic, 7-pin JST, microSD on the sides; GPIO, mikroBUS, FPC and battery from the top depending on the panel.
Printed button pushers for Reset and User, built into the frame wall.
Four top panels: Blank (vent grid), Click (window for mikroBUS click boards of any length), Open (full window over the board), Battery Port (opening above the 2-pin battery header).
One mount interface for everything: 4 × M3 heat-set inserts on a 20 × 20 mm square plus a Ø12 mm centring pocket.
Spring DIN rail clip for TS35 with a printed serpentine flexure. Snaps on, releases with a flat screwdriver.
Outer size 78 × 64 mm. About 42 mm deep.
Mounts included
DIN Clip: TS35 rail, spring latch.
Skadis T-Clip: two discs for the T-Clip Twist Clip system, 40 mm pitch.
Skadis: native hooks, 40 mm pitch.
2020 Extrusion: keyed bar, 2 × M5 into T-nuts.
VESA 75 and VESA 100: M4, screwed to the monitor with the case already attached.
Tripod 1/4": puck for a 1/4"-20 heat-set insert.
GoPro: two-finger device side, M5 thumb screw.
Magnetic: 6 × 10 × 3 mm disc magnets.
Wall Keyhole: two keyhole slots for screws with heads up to 8.5 mm.
Pipe Strap: 90° V saddle for Ø14–40 mm pipes, tunnel for a strap or hose clamp up to 10 mm wide.
Desk Stand 15°: tilts the case toward you.
Joiner x2: holds two cases side by side.
Hardware
Case (always)
8 × M3 heat-set insert, short (M3 × 4, for a Ø4.0 mm hole): 4 in the platform posts, 4 in the mount interface
4 × M3 × 10 brass standoff, male-female, 5.5 mm hex
4 × M3 × 20 button head screw (ISO 7380)
Per mount
DIN Clip: 2 × M3 × 10 socket head screw (ISO 4762)
All other mounts: 4 × M3 × 8 button head screw (ISO 7380), plus:
2020 Extrusion: 2 × M5 screw and T-nut
VESA: 4 × M4 screw (length depends on your monitor)
Tripod: 1 × 1/4"-20 heat-set insert
GoPro: 1 × M5 thumb screw
Magnetic: 6 × 10 × 3 mm neodymium disc
Skadis T-Clip: 2 × Twist Clip from the T-Clip system
Print settings
Material: matte PLA or PETG. PETG for the DIN Clip (the flexure is close to PLA's limit).
Layer height 0.2 mm, 3–4 walls (helps the heat-set inserts), 20–25 % infill.
No supports needed in general, but for the frame part.
Orientation
Platform: flat, posts up.
Frame: upside down, top edge on the bed.
Panels: flat, outer face down.
DIN Clip: on its side, profile on the bed, so the spring prints along its layers.
Desk Stand: upside down, plate on the bed.
Other mounts: flat face (the side that touches the case) on the bed.
Assembly
Press the heat-set inserts into the four platform posts and the four interface holes on the underside of the hub.
Screw the four standoffs into the platform posts.
Lay the board on the standoffs.
Drop the frame over the board so its corner columns sit on the board's mounting pads.
Put a panel on top and fix everything with the four M3 × 20 screws, through the panel, the frame columns and the board into the standoffs.
Screw the mount of your choice to the interface on the bottom.
Notes
The Skadis native hooks follow the standard Skadis hole layout; if your board differs, the T-Clip version is the safer choice.
